The art of not responding

Silently observing and calmly relieving the noise upshots is cardinal to keep our peace intact. No response to certain statements and situations where the spoken words are not going to make any  difference, is an art that in unknown to many. Silently nodding and saving our mood for the day is always a better approach to deal with many life situations where our inclusion initially is not intended to be bringing any positive influence. It assists with successful, desired and optimistic outcomes for our own circumstances as that is what we are prioritizing by keeping silent.

When sitting in a group or with people, whose energy is unwelcomed, try staying quiet with an appropriate expression on the face, actively offering an ear for listening and letting their energy pass out through our silence without absorbing or delivering it further.

By not responding, we are not involving ourselves directly into others’ life situations and being successful in not judging and leaving whatever they had to say right there when we move out of that space. Merely nodding and appropriate non verbal gestures aid saving our energy to actively intricate the same into self growth. Also, it offers the real meaning to the concept of closely observing, reflecting and filtering the energy from the surroundings, analyzing it better to initiate more relevant, careful and required responses if really necessary.

Lets liberate the responding resources to better serve ourselves, investing these into our lives to grow, learn and live quietly without making it noisy and crowded with conversations and vibes that are not to our taste. Of note, refrain from attending the clamor of social media, television broadcasts and dramas. Instead shift your focus to learning arts, doing what you enjoy and start with something as small as a walk out in nature for 15-30 minutes a day.

Next time, when they are talking around you, try smiling or relevantly express or if really needed, respond with 1-2 word answers. Once out of the situation, praise yourself for doing so successfully. You will see yourself growing calmer inside and more peaceful overall.
